Runkle Consulting is a small structural engineering firm that provides design services to architects and builders and assistance to homeowners, contractors, and builders in correcting various forms of structural failure.

What Services Do We Provide?

We provide structural design and investigative services for a broad range of projects. We design from the range of brand new buildings to single beams needed during home renovations. Runkle Consulting is extremely versatile in the range of projects that it is capable of handling. Past projects have included repairing foundations, shop drawings for repairs to the (www.gadome.com) Georgia Dome, and the design of extremely large residential properties..

Specific Services

New Home Structural Design: We can prepare complete structural drawings for new homes from the foundation plan to the roof plan. Shortly we will also be providing material take offs for our structural designs as an added service if desired.
Light Commercial Design: We provide structural designs for smaller commercial projects. Our designs have included foundations for small manufacturing plants, small retail facilities, day care facilities, and veterinary hospitals.
Shop Drawings: We prepare structural shop drawings that may be required as part of your contract. We have prepared various types of drawings for contractors performing work for the Centers for Disease Control, Fulton County Schools, and the Georgia Dome.
Structural Repair: We provide fast service for structural repair design. We have designed repairs for buildings that have been damaged by fire, tornadoes, wind, and due to rotting building materials or insects. Our projects have ranged from the design of the replacement of the second story of a warehouse that was destroyed by a tornado to repairs on individual roof trusses from tree damage.
Foundation Repairs: A significant part of our business is working with homeowners to design the repairs to failing foundations. We assist you in determining the repairs needed, and help you find a contractor to do the repair. There is a fee for this service, please call for further information.
