Retaining Wall Design

We design the usual concrete cantilever retaining walls, but we also can design walls to meet unusual conditions.  With a concrete cantilever wall, you need a large area behind the wall for the foundation, the width of which is usually 2/3rds the height of the wall.  Sometimes that's not possible, so we have designed reverse cantilever walls, where the foundation is to the front of the wall, and tied back walls.

Recently we have begun designing walls using Redi-Rock, which is a proprietary product consisting of very large interlocking prefab concrete blocks.  This product runs about 10 - 20% cheaper than concrete cantilever walls of the same size, and requires no finishing.  It also is fairly simple to build, there is no reinforcing to place, and no geotextile fabric to anchor the wall into the embankment.
