Ghana Dormitory Project

Ghana Dormitory Rendering

Right now we are in the concept stage of a dormitory project in Ghana.  The client is Ghana Atlantic, which is constructing a prototype for on campus affordable housing in Kumasi.  We are assisting in the structural design, providing advice to the architect, and providing advice for construction.

The plan is to build buildings like this out of 20' shipping containers and to make as few modifications in the containers possible in order to keep costs down.  As we continue on this project we will update this page to keep you up on where it is at.  Right now we're taking the basic concept and working out an efficient layout of containers that we will pass back to the Architect.  We'll also be doing preliminary structural design.

Once the architect completes his design, we'll finalize our structural design, and construction will begin.
